The Drinks Bakery was delighted to be included in The Herald’s selection of festive food-and-drink gifts.
The feature celebrated distinctive presents for people who appreciate good food, carefully chosen drinks and products with a genuine story behind them.
From Edinburgh to the Scottish Highlands
The idea behind The Drinks Bakery was developed by Edinburgh founder Andy Murray, who watched the emergence of craft drinks and believed that they deserved a more considered snack pairing than ordinary crisps and nuts.
His answer was Drinks Biscuits: rich, savoury biscuits created specifically to accompany wine, gin, whisky, beer and cocktails.
Today, the biscuits are hand-baked in the Scottish Highlands using carefully selected cheese, herbs and spices. Each flavour has its own character and a selection of drinks with which it pairs particularly well.
A Scottish gift made for sharing
Drinks Biscuits can be served straight from the box, added to a cheeseboard or used to create a relaxed tasting with several different drinks.
That makes them a thoughtful Scottish present for Christmas hosts, food lovers and discerning drinkers—particularly those who already have enough bottles in the cupboard.
The Discerning Drinker’s Gift Set combines four signature flavours with two Drinks Bakery coasters in one ready-to-give box. Alternatively, the Mixed Variety Pack lets the recipient explore the wider range and discover their favourite matches.
